Calling all emerging, underground, and underrepresented artists of Seattle:

We would love to hear from you! Show your work to thousands of art lovers at the ballet!

Seapertl Productions is seeking ready to display 2D and 3D artworks to display in our pop-up art gallery, Skid Road, in conjunction with PNB’s production Locally Sourced, playing in McCaw Hall on November 8-17, 2019.

We are looking for artworks based on your experience in, of, or around Seattle. These can be literal, emotional, or abstract depictions of how you view our city.

All artwork chosen will be on display and advertised to a crowd of over 14,000 ballet attendees, and with this show, we hope to connect the worlds of dance, art, and art lovers alike.

Because we would especially like to give voice to emerging and underrepresented artists, we ask that all artists submitting work meet the following criteria:

          - not students (at a university or a high school)

          - not currently being represented by a gallery

          -  low income residents of Seattle or the greater Seattle area

          - consider the making of artwork to be their main calling in life

There is no fee to submit artwork, and up to 3 pieces will be considered for each artist. Please submit:

         - an image of the work (up to 2mb per image)

         - dimensions of the work (including frame)

         - weight of the work

         - (optional) a brief summary/artist’s statement of the work (up to 200 words)

         - (optional) the requested price of the artwork (Seapertl Productions will take a 10% commission fee to cover costs and

money transfers to artists at the close of the show)

Please be aware that this is a family event. Any profanity and/or explicit content will not be considered as per the request of our hosts. Because this is a group show which seeks to increase the exposure of local artists, we will try to accommodate and display as many artists as possible.

Please also include any social media handles to be included next to the artwork, such as website, instagram, facebook, etc

All artists who are accepted in to the Locally Sourced art show must sign an artist contract, a liability release of damages for artwork that is lost/stolen/acts of god (venue is public), as well as a photo release form for any potential publication online or in print.

All artwork must be dropped off between 3 - 7 pm on November 4th or 3 - 7 on November 5th, and must be picked up between 5:30 - 7:30 PM on November 17th. If exceptions need to be made, please email seapertlproductions@gmail.com for questions or any special accommodations that need to be made.

All accepted artists will receive two complimentary tickets to the Locally Sourced show of their choosing (show times can be viewed here: https://order.pnb.org/events/locally-sourced) to be requested at time of submission of works.

Additionally, there may be opportunities to sell prints at a volunteer artist table during the intermissions of each show, and artists who are willing to volunteer their time to help run this table will be given preference in acceptance to show their work.

10% of all sales of work will be retained to cover handling fees, and 90% of payments from sales will be transferred electronically via Paypal from Seapertl Productions upon pickup of artwork!

Please send all submissions to seapertlproductions@gmail.com  by October 12th at 11:59pm.

We can’t wait to see all the wonderful art Seattle has to offer, and we hope to hear from you soon!
